<Poem>

<Translation>
Where are my thoughts after all?
Far off in Chingchou－there my sad gaze turns
In all the world I have had no other friend
Whose kindness to remember all my life
I mean soon to belong to the country, and sow
And plant things, and grow old in my refuge
I watch the wild geese southwards out of sight
And think how I may send a word to you.
